SRINAGAR: A team of the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit in Anantnag conducted a late-night raid at the Malaknag residence of Dr. Khalid Aziz Tak, son of Late Aziz Tak, in connection with an ongoing investigation related to the Nowgam case registered under FIR No. 162 of 2025.
According to officials, during the intervening night search, the team found a female doctor, identified as Priyanka Sharma—wife of Anirudha Kaushik and a resident of Janta Colony, Rohtak in Haryana—staying at the residence on rent since October 2023. Sharma, an MBBS graduate, is currently in the final year of her MD (General Medicine) at Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag.
During the raid, officials seized a mobile phone along with a SIM card. The operation was carried out as part of the investigation under FIR 162 of 2025, lodged at Police Station Nowgam, Srinagar, under sections 13, 18, 20, 23 and 38 of the ULA(P) Act, section 7/25 of the Indian Arms Act, and section 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Officials confirmed that the operation concluded peacefully, with no untoward incidents reported during the search.
