Jammu, Aug 4: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Monday conducted a comprehensive review of major government health institutions in Jammu, including Government Medical College (GMC), SMGS Hospital, Super Specialty Hospital (SCI), and Government Dental College.

During the inspection, the Chief Secretary assessed the functioning of various departments, availability of infrastructure, and overall patient care services. He emphasized the urgent need to expedite ongoing infrastructure projects to enhance healthcare delivery in the region.

Dulloo specifically called for the timely completion of critical facilities such as the Critical Care Block, the new Gynaecology Wing, the Cancer Institute, and the Catheterization (Cath) Lab. He said these projects are vital for addressing the rising healthcare demands and strengthening tertiary care in the Union Territory.
