SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police have initiated an investigation after a body was discovered under suspicious circumstances inside a children’s play tunnel at Sanjay Nagar Park in the Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu on Tuesday.

Sources said that alongside the body, a pistol was recovered from the scene, prompting authorities to consider multiple angles, including the possibility of foul play.

A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) also reached the site to collect samples and evidence, which will assist in determining the sequence of events leading to the death.

As of now, the identity of the deceased has not been established, and the cause of death remains unclear. Police said the matter is under active investigation and further details will be shared as they emerge.
