Geneva, April 25 (ANI/WAM) – More than 3,700 people have died and nearly 5,100 have been injured following two powerful earthquakes in Myanmar, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). At least 114 people remain missing, and tens of thousands are displaced, living in makeshift tents.
WHO Representative Dr Thushara Fernando warned of increasing risks of infectious disease outbreaks, including dengue and malaria, due to contaminated water sources and the approaching monsoon season. He said the organization has responded swiftly, but the scale of need remains vast.
