Jammu, Friday: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday said that artists and Gen Z entrepreneurs will together play a decisive role in shaping India’s future, highlighting the powerful alliance between art and business in building a vibrant and developed society.

“Art and business alliance is a unique power. Imagination and investment, when combined, can build a progressive and inclusive society,” the Lieutenant Governor said while addressing the valedictory session of the International Painting Workshop at IIM Jammu.

The workshop was organised by Anandam: The Centre of Happiness in collaboration with the Art Club, IIM Jammu, and witnessed participation from artists, students, academicians, and entrepreneurs from across the country.

The Lieutenant Governor emphasised that creativity is not limited to artistic expression alone but is equally essential for entrepreneurship and innovation. He said young entrepreneurs, especially from Gen Z, must draw inspiration from art to develop original ideas, ethical leadership, and socially responsible business models.

He also praised IIM Jammu for promoting holistic education by integrating art, culture, and well-being into management studies. Such initiatives, he said, help nurture balanced individuals who can contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

The event concluded with reflections from participating artists and students, showcasing artworks created during the workshop and celebrating the convergence of creativity, happiness, and enterprise.
