Budgam, Nov 5: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday expressed confidence that his party will receive strong support from the people of Budgam in the upcoming elections, asserting that the party represents genuine change and accountability—unlike traditional political players in Jammu and Kashmir.
“This is the first time we are contesting elections in Budgam, and we are confident of good support. Unlike BJP, NC, and PDP, who play with people’s emotions, we stand for genuine change and accountability,” Bukhari said while addressing a public gathering in Budgam.
Taking a dig at the administration, the Apni Party chief said it was shameful for any government to claim it had “nothing in its hands.”
“If any government says it has nothing, it’s a matter of shame. The government holds all powers—if they need the governor’s permission, that’s their own problem,” Bukhari remarked.
He said the Apni Party aims to restore people’s trust in governance by focusing on transparency, development, and empowerment at the grassroots level.
Bukhari urged the people of Budgam to reject political parties that have, according to him, “thrived on emotional exploitation,” and instead support a vision rooted in accountability and progress.
