NEW DELHI, April 22:
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday extended his greetings on the occasion of World Earth Day, urging collective responsibility toward preserving and protecting the planet.

In a message shared on social media platform X, Shah reflected on the vital role Earth plays in sustaining life. “Mother Earth cradles life and nourishes the ecosystem necessary for us to grow and evolve. It is our duty to return the benevolence with the utmost care to protect and enhance the health of Mother Earth,” he stated.

Shah underlined the central government’s efforts in advancing sustainable development. He said the Modi-led administration is actively steering global initiatives aimed at environmental conservation and climate resilience.

He also took the opportunity to applaud the efforts of conservationists and environmental advocates across the country. “I also applaud the conservationists who are working towards making our planet better,” he added.

World Earth Day is observed annually on April 22 to promote awareness about environmental protection and inspire action to address ecological challenges.
