MAY- Amid escalating tensions along the India-Pakistan border following the launch of Operation Sindoor by the Indian Army in response to the recent deadly attack in Pahalgam, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been in close contact with key Jammu and Kashmir leaders, including former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
According to media sources, Shah has remained in constant communication with senior officials, including the Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF). He has instructed the BSF to implement comprehensive safety measures to ensure the protection of civilians living in sensitive border areas.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed the security and preparedness situation in the border districts of the Union Territory on Tuesday morning. In a post shared on social media platform X, the Office of the LG stated:
“Directed Deputy Commissioners to relocate residents from vulnerable villages to safer zones, ensuring adequate facilities for accommodation, food, healthcare, and transportation. Every citizen’s safety is our top priority. Jai Hind!”
Sinha further noted that the administration is fully equipped to respond to any emergency.
“Held a detailed assessment with senior officials and DCs of all border districts to evaluate the ground situation. The government is continuously monitoring developments and stands ready to face any eventuality,” he added.
