Srinagar, Sept 4: Several residential houses in Shalina and Lasjan areas on the outskirts of Srinagar were inundated after floodwaters entered the localities on Thursday, causing immense hardships for the residents.
Locals said the water level started rising in the morning following heavy rains, eventually breaching into residential lanes and compounds. Many households were submerged, forcing residents to shift belongings to upper floors.
