Srinagar, Aug 14: Jammu and Kashmir’s Agriculture Minister, Javid Ahmad Dar, on Thursday attended a virtual meeting chaired by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to review key issues concerning the farm sector.
The discussions focused on fertilizer availability, assessment of crop losses, promotion of natural farming, and welfare initiatives for farmers.
Dar directed officials to ensure the timely supply of fertilizers, curb black marketing, and provide fair and prompt compensation to farmers affected by losses. He also stressed the need to adopt sustainable agricultural practices in line with the Union Government’s vision.
