SRINAGAR: A 35-year-old woman, Pushpa Devi, was killed after being hit by a bullet allegedly discharged accidentally from the weapon of a Village Defence Guard (VDG) member in Singpura Areagam village of Kishtwar’s Chatroo area late Friday night.
According to police, the woman died on the spot. Preliminary reports suggest the firing was accidental.
