One Dead, One Injured in Late-Night Road Mishap in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, June 29: A fatal road accident occurred late Saturday night in Srinagar’s Shalteng area, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to another.

Officials said both victims were immediately taken to SMHS Hospital for medical attention. One of them, identified as Ajaz Ahmad Dar from Shah Gund, Bandipora, succumbed to his injuries early Sunday morning.

The other person, also a resident of Shah Gund, Hajin, is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
