Srinagar, June 26:
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah interacted with National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from across the country participating in the 12-day Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) being held in Srinagar.
Addressing the cadets, the Chief Minister lauded their discipline, enthusiasm, and commitment to national unity, describing them as true representatives of India’s diverse yet united fabric.
“You are the emotional bridge that binds India together,” he said, urging the young cadets to act as ambassadors of peace and harmony. “Tell people about the J&K you saw, the warmth you experienced.”
The SNIC, organized annually by the NCC, brings together youth from different states to foster national integration and cultural exchange. This year’s camp aims to dispel misconceptions about Jammu and Kashmir by promoting first-hand engagement and interaction.
The Chief Minister also appreciated the role of NCC in shaping responsible and patriotic citizens, saying their participation in such camps was a vital contribution to building a more unified and inclusive nation.
