Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today inaugurated a mass distribution drive of aids and assistive devices for Divyangjan (persons with disabilities) and senior citizens with disabilities in Jammu.
The initiative, organized by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Jammu, is being implemented under two key centrally sponsored schemes — the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) and the Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids and Appliances (ADIP) scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, LG Sinha emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering Divyangjan and improving the quality of life for senior citizens with disabilities. He lauded the initiative as a step toward building an inclusive and compassionate society.
