GANDERBAL, JUNE 2: In view of the upcoming Mata Kheerbhawani Mela-2025, scheduled to be observed on June 3, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, on Monday visited the revered shrine of Mata Kheerbhawani at Tulmulla to take stock of the preparations being made for the smooth conduct of the annual religious event.

During the visit, the Divisional Commissioner conducted a thorough inspection of the temple premises and reviewed the facilities put in place for the convenience of devotees expected to arrive from various parts of the country.

The arrangements reviewed included accommodation for night stays, provision of bedding, sanitation and hygienic toilet facilities, uninterrupted electricity and water supply, medical aid, and langer (community kitchen) services. Bidhuri emphasized that every possible measure should be taken to ensure a peaceful, comfortable, and spiritually uplifting experience for the pilgrims.

Expressing satisfaction over the preparations, he instructed concerned officers to make final adjustments wherever necessary to avoid any inconvenience to the visitors. He also stressed on maintaining cleanliness and providing round-the-clock services throughout the duration of the Mela.

Appealing to devotees to attend the Mela in large numbers, the Div Com invited people to experience the sanctity and spiritual atmosphere of the revered shrine. He assured that the administration is fully committed to ensuring a safe and well-managed event for all participants.

The Mata Kheerbhawani Mela is one of the most significant Hindu festivals in Jammu and Kashmir, attracting thousands of devotees each year, particularly from the Kashmiri Pandit community.
