Jammu, June 2: A man was injured in a wild bear attack in the Mandi area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, officials said.
The victim, identified as 35-year-old Irshad, was attacked near his residence located close to a forested area. Hearing his cries for help, local residents rushed to the spot, forcing the bear to flee.
Irshad sustained multiple injuries and was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment, officials added.
