New Delhi, May 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lead a high-level meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) today at 11 a.m. in the national capital. The session will center on critical national security matters in the wake of recent developments.
Among the top priorities on the agenda are the aftermath of ‘Operation Sindoor’, a covert counter-terror operation believed to have yielded significant tactical gains, and the terror attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in the deaths of several security personnel.
The CCS, comprising senior ministers from Defence, Home Affairs, External Affairs, and top Intelligence officials, is expected to conduct a detailed assessment of the country’s military preparedness, Intelligence reports, and possible diplomatic responses, especially concerning Pakistan.
The meeting carries added significance as it comes just a day after PM Modi visited the Adampur Airbase in Punjab, where he interacted with members of the Indian armed forces, underlining the government’s commitment to national defence and regional stability.
