SRINAGAR, May 8 – The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), the primary road connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country, was closed on Thursday morning following a mudslide in Ramban district.
According to officials, the landslip occurred at Chamba Seri, triggered by persistent rainfall in the region. The debris has blocked both lanes of the highway, bringing vehicular traffic to a complete halt. Road clearance operations are currently underway.
