Minister Javed Ahmed Dar Greets Workers on International Labour Day, Reaffirms Commitment to Their Welfare

Srinagar, May 1:
On the occasion of International Labour Day, Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Javed Ahmed Dar, extended heartfelt greetings to workers across the region, acknowledging their pivotal role in nation-building.

In his message, the Minister lauded the dedication and resilience of the working class, describing them as the “strongest pillars of nation-building.” He emphasized the importance of safeguarding their rights and ensuring their social and economic well-being.

“I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to my working brothers and sisters on this special day,” Dar said. “The government remains firmly committed to the welfare of the working class and will continue to take all necessary measures to protect their interests.”

Highlighting various government initiatives aimed at supporting workers, the Minister stressed the need to enhance working conditions, ensure fair wages, and promote comprehensive social security measures. He also underlined the significance of creating a work environment that fosters both productivity and job satisfaction.

Dar reiterated the government’s resolve to prioritize the safety and welfare of workers, adding that their empowerment is key to sustainable development and progress.

International Labour Day, observed globally on May 1, celebrates the contributions of workers and advocates for their rights and dignified working conditions.
