MUMBAI, May 1 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday underscored the transformative role of technology in everyday life and urged content creators to harness its power responsibly, using art forms like music, dance, and storytelling to shape a more empathetic world.

“Humans must not become robots. We should strive to make them more emotionally aware and sensitive,” the Prime Minister said while inaugurating the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai.

Positioned as a premier platform for global collaboration, WAVES seeks to elevate India as a leading hub for media, entertainment, and digital innovation. The summit brings together creative professionals, startups, industry leaders, and policymakers worldwide to exchange ideas and explore opportunities.

Modi’s remarks highlighted the need for a creative renaissance—one that blends technology with compassion to inspire positive change across societies.
