April 25- In a swift response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, authorities on Friday demolished the houses of two alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives in South Kashmir’s Tral and Bijbehara areas.
The suspects—identified as Asif Sheikh from Tral and Adil Thoker from Bijbehara—are accused of direct involvement in the Pahalgam attack that left 26 tourists and one local civilian dead earlier this week.
Officials said the demolitions were carried out as part of ongoing counterterrorism operations aimed at dismantling militant infrastructure in the region.
The Pahalgam attack, which occurred just days ago, sent shockwaves across the country, drawing strong condemnation and prompting a heightened security alert in the Valley, particularly with the tourist season underway.
Security forces have since launched intensified operations in various parts of South Kashmir to root out militant networks and prevent further incidents.
