New Delhi, April 24 — India on Thursday briefed envoys from major global powers, including the US, UK, France, China, and Russia, on the recent Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, highlighting its cross-border links with Pakistan.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri conveyed India’s stance of zero tolerance towards terrorism and detailed the attack’s connection to Pakistan-based groups.

Following a Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India announced several measures against Pakistan: expulsion of Pakistani military attaches, suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, and closure of the Attari land-transit post.

In a speech in Bihar, PM Modi vowed to pursue the attackers “to the ends of the earth”, asserting that terrorism will not break India’s spirit and will not go unpunished.

Diplomats from several other nations, including the UAE, Qatar, Norway, and Malaysia, were also briefed.
