Srinagar: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Friday flagged off a ‘Bharat Darshan’ study tour for 20 young students from Budgam district as part of its Civic Action Programme. The initiative aims to provide them with an opportunity to explore India’s rich cultural diversity and heritage.
The group, accompanied by a caretaker, embarked on a five-day tour to Delhi and Agra. The event was flagged off by Commanding Officer of the 43rd Battalion, R. Jayakumar, who encouraged the students to make the most of this educational experience by visiting historical sites and cultural landmarks.
According to a CRPF official, the tour covers all expenses, including boarding, lodging, round-trip airfare, and other logistical support. Each participant has also been provided with travel essentials such as tracksuits, shoes, and travel bags.
During the flag-off ceremony, officers interacted with the students, who hail from different parts of Budgam, and their parents. Expressing their gratitude, both students and their families appreciated the CRPF’s initiative in fostering national integration and providing exposure to different cultural and historical aspects of the country.
