SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Department has predicted a spell of light rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds at scattered places across Jammu and Kashmir over the next several days, indicating brief weather disturbances in different parts of the Union Territory.
As per the latest seven-day forecast, weather conditions on May 15 are expected to remain largely dry during the daytime. However, some areas may experience thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds during the late afternoon, evening, or night hours. A similar pattern is likely on May 16, with dry conditions expected initially before isolated thundershowers develop later in the day.
The MeT Department said that May 17 and 18 are likely to witness mainly dry weather across the region, although a few places could receive short spells of rain or thundershowers during the afternoon or evening.
A relatively more active weather phase is expected on May 19, when thundershower activity may begin from the morning hours in certain areas. Officials, however, stated that any rainfall activity during the day is expected to be brief.
For May 20 and 21, the forecast suggests generally dry weather conditions, though isolated areas may continue to witness occasional thundershowers.
