The Centre has ordered a high-level probe into the recent operational disruptions at IndiGo Airlines, following widespread inconvenience faced by passengers across multiple airports. The inquiry will examine the underlying causes of the chaos and fix responsibility where required. It is also expected to propose corrective measures to prevent such incidents in the future and bolster safeguards for air travellers.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has been closely tracking the situation and coordinating efforts to restore normal flight operations. A 24×7 control room has been established to monitor real-time developments, facilitate rapid interventions, and ensure timely assistance to affected passengers. The move underscores the government’s emphasis on passenger safety, service reliability, and efficient grievance redressal.
