SRINAGAR: Pulwama MLA Waheed Ur Rehman Para has urged the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to immediately approve the pending age relaxation proposal for candidates appearing in the JK Combined Competitive Examination (JKCCE) 2025, scheduled for December 7.
Para said he has been receiving repeated calls from anxious aspirants who lost vital preparation years due to circumstances beyond their control. Although officials have maintained that the proposal has cleared all procedural steps, he noted that the final approval is still awaited, creating uncertainty and distress among candidates.
In his letter to Raj Bhawan, Para stressed that further delay could deepen the sense of exclusion among youth. A timely decision, he said, would not only resolve an administrative issue but also send a reassuring message to young people aspiring for public service.
He urged the LG to clear the proposal at the earliest so that aspirants can appear for the exam without fear of missing out due to age limits. “The system our youth hope to serve should support them, not shut them out,” he said in a public statement.
Para expressed hope that the administration will address the concerns of thousands of candidates in the interest of fairness and opportunity.
