Srinagar, December 1 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday extended his greetings to the Border Security Force (BSF) on its Raising Day, applauding the force for its outstanding role in safeguarding the country’s frontiers.
In a post on X, the LG praised the BSF as “India’s first line of defence” and lauded its personnel for their exceptional service.
“BSF, India’s first line of defence, has displayed exceptional courage, dedication and unwavering commitment to safeguard our borders. Nation salutes its professionalism, discipline and sacrifice,” Sinha wrote.
The LG also conveyed his best wishes to all BSF officers, jawans, veterans, and their families, acknowledging their contribution to national security.
The BSF, one of the world’s largest border-guarding forces, celebrates its Raising Day annually to honour the bravery and commitment of its personnel serving along India’s borders.
