Srinagar— In a continued crackdown on individuals and networks linked to terrorist organisations, Srinagar Police on Thursday carried out extensive searches across madrassas and masjids in all city zones. The operation aims to dismantle the terror support ecosystem in the region and reinforce ongoing de-radicalization initiatives.

Teams led by Executive Magistrates and accompanied by independent witnesses inspected multiple premises to gather evidence related to any terror-linked, conspiratorial, or radical activities deemed harmful to national security. According to police officials, digital devices, documents, and other materials were thoroughly examined during the searches.

Authorities emphasized that the operations were conducted strictly in accordance with legal procedures, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the process. Police stated that similar searches will continue wherever credible inputs suggest the presence of individuals or materials associated with unlawful or radical activities.

Reaffirming its commitment to maintaining peace and safeguarding public order, Srinagar Police urged citizens to cooperate with ongoing investigations and to promptly report any suspicious activity.
