SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday chaired a high-level security meeting at Raj Bhawan, Srinagar, to review the overall security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir and assess measures to maintain peace and public safety.

The LG directed all security and intelligence agencies to maintain heightened vigilance and seamless coordination at every operational level. Stressing a unified approach among J&K Police, Army, paramilitary forces, and intelligence agencies, he called for proactive intelligence gathering, strict surveillance in sensitive areas, and efforts to strengthen public trust in the security setup.

The meeting reviewed counter-infiltration efforts, anti-militancy operations, and actions against narco-terror and hybrid militancy. Senior officers briefed the LG on the current law and order situation and coordination mechanisms.

Appreciating the role of security forces in maintaining stability, LG Sinha urged them to stay alert and responsive to any potential threats, especially in view of recent developments and upcoming public events.
