Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Friday said that the BJP has always stood for democracy and the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, reiterating the party’s commitment to inclusive development and national unity.
Chugh said that by abrogating Article 370, the BJP fulfilled the long-cherished vision of Pandit Premnath Dogra, uniting Jammu and Kashmir fully with the rest of the country. “The historic step not only ensured the integration of J&K with India but also ushered in a new era of growth, equality, and justice for all citizens,” he said.
Highlighting the developmental strides made since the constitutional change, Chugh added that the Union Territory is witnessing unprecedented progress in infrastructure, education, and employment generation. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are now equal partners in India’s democratic and developmental journey,” he remarked.
