SRINAGAR, Sep 22: Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma on Monday said flood-affected families in Jammu and Kashmir will get a comprehensive relief package, assuring that the BJP stands firmly with them.
He criticized the Omar Abdullah-led government for being “missing on the ground” during the crisis, alleging the Chief Minister was away in Chennai preparing for a foreign visit. Sharma added that senior BJP leaders, including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, had personally met victims of the disaster.
On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s possible visit to the region, Sharma said he had no information as he was “not from the PMO.”
