Young Girl Injured in Jackal Attack in Poonch’s Sawjian Area

Poonch, April 19: A young girl was injured on Saturday after being attacked by a wild jackal in the Sawjian region of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.Officials reported that the animal entered a house in Cholla village and attacked the child inside. The girl, estimated to be around 5 or 6 years old and the daughter of Sakinder Ahmed, was promptly taken to a hospital for treatment.Medical staff provided immediate care, including stitches for her wounds, after which she was discharged.The unexpected incident has left residents alarmed, with many urging authorities to take measures to prevent wild animals from straying into residential areas.
