SRINAGAR: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh on Thursday said the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has downgraded its weather alert for Jammu and Kashmir from “red” to “yellow” as conditions ease.He said only isolated heavy rain is likely today and tomorrow in Jammu, Udhampur, and Doda, with 7–11 cm expected at a few places.
Weather is set to improve across the Union Territory from August 29.The update comes as parts of Jammu continue to grapple with flood-related disruption, with residents hoping for faster relief and restoration.
