SC Eases Stray Dog Order, Allows Release After Sterilisation and Vaccination

The Supreme Court on Friday eased its August 8 order on stray dogs in Delhi-NCR, directing that sterilised, vaccinated, and dewormed dogs be released back to their original areas. Dogs with rabies or aggressive behaviour must be kept in shelters after immunisation. Calling its earlier order “too harsh,” the court also expanded the case nationwide, indicating a move towards a national policy.
