Srinagar, Friday: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday attended the Annual Day function of the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), praising the institute for its significant contributions to quality healthcare, medical education, and research in the Union Territory.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister commended the dedication and professionalism of the institute’s doctors, nurses, and staff, noting that their commitment and compassion have been instrumental in strengthening public healthcare services in the region.
He highlighted SKIMS as a premier medical institution that continues to play a pivotal role in patient care, advanced medical training, and research-oriented medical practices. Abdullah emphasized the government’s support in further upgrading the institute’s facilities to ensure improved healthcare delivery to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
