Nomination Process for Four Rajya Sabha Seats from J&K Begins

Srinagar, Oct 6: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday issued three notifications, formally initiating the nomination process for four Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir.The move follows the President’s call to the elected members of the J&K Legislative Assembly to elect representatives to the Upper House of Parliament.According to the ECI schedule, candidates can file nominations until October 13, 2025, with scrutiny set for October 14. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 16, while polling, if required, will be held on October 24, followed by counting the same day.
