Kota, Rajasthan – April 22, 2025: In yet another tragic incident from India’s coaching hub, an 18-year-old NEET aspirant from Bihar died by suicide in his hostel room in Kota’s Landmark City area on Tuesday. The student, who had been preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), left behind a note stating that neither his family nor the pressure of the exam was responsible for his death.

This marks the ninth case of student suicide in Kota this year, reigniting serious concerns over the mental health crisis among students enrolled in the city’s intense coaching ecosystem.
