Srinagar, Oct 19: The Border Security Force (BSF) and Indian Army have heightened vigilance along the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Diwali to ensure peace and security during the festivities.
Officials said security has been tightened with intensified night patrolling, round-the-clock monitoring, and increased coordination between the BSF and Army to prevent any cross-border threats.
“National security is our Diwali. While citizens prepare for the festival, our focus remains on maintaining vigilance along the borders,” a BSF official said, adding that troops are fully prepared to counter any challenge.
Army and BSF personnel are conducting joint patrols and have strengthened observation posts in sensitive areas to ensure a swift response to any incident.
Residents in border areas reported an enhanced security presence and continued night surveillance. Officials emphasized that despite the festive season, operations will continue without interruption to ensure safe and peaceful celebrations across the region.
