JKBOSE Announces Class 12 Results; Girls Outperform Boys

SRINAGAR, April 30 — The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday declared the results for the Class 12 Annual Regular Examination, session 2024, for the Kashmir division.

According to official figures, 75 percent of students who appeared in the exams have successfully qualified.

Out of the 1,03,308 candidates, a total of 77,315 students passed the examination. Among them, 51,717 were boys, of whom 37,214 cleared the exams, registering a pass percentage of 71.95%. In contrast, 51,591 girls appeared and 40,097 passed, with a notable pass percentage of 77.72%, once again highlighting the better performance of female candidates.

In terms of academic achievement:

  • 30,622 students secured distinction (75% and above),
  • 36,311 students achieved first division (60% to 74%),
  • 10,304 students passed with second division (48% to 59%).
