Vadodara/Jammu & Kashmir, November 2025 — Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha praised the “Ek Bharat Aatmanirbhar Bharat” Unity March in Vadodara, calling it a fitting tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th birth anniversary.

In a post on X, Sinha said the padyatra celebrates Patel’s ideals of unity, equality and social justice — principles he believes continue to guide India’s development. He highlighted Patel’s pivotal role in integrating princely states, remarking that “the history of J&K would have been different if Sardar Patel had been given full responsibility for its integration in 1947.”

The march, launched on 26 November 2025 from Patel’s birthplace in Karamsad, is part of a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports to engage citizens and youth in reaffirming the ideals of “Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat” and “Viksit Bharat.”
