Srinagar, Sept 19: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg (IAS), said Friday that the Srinagar–Jammu National Highway has been restored, with traffic running smoothly for the past four days.
He said around 5,500 fruit-laden trucks have moved towards Jammu in the last two days via the highway and Mughal Road, ensuring timely transport of Valley produce.Essential supplies remained unaffected today, he added, assuring that fuel shortages will be resolved by this evening.
Garg urged the public to avoid panic buying, saying, “From this evening, the situation will ease considerably, with visible improvement in affected areas.”
