Baramulla, Apr 27:
With thousands of tourists flocking daily to the scenic resort town of Gulmarg, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Gurinder Singh, on Sunday said that comprehensive security measures are in place to ensure their safety.

Speaking about the arrangements, SSP Singh said, “Tourists come to Gulmarg, and we provide them security. The Gondola is a major attraction, witnessing a daily footfall of around 3,000 to 5,000 visitors.”

He emphasized that security forces, including the police, Army, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), have maintained a consistent presence in Gulmarg. “There has always been deployment of police, Army, and CRPF personnel in the area,” he said.

Amid heightened security concerns across Jammu and Kashmir, Singh reassured that the forces are maintaining a high level of vigilance. “So far, there have been no concerns. However, if any situation arises, we are fully prepared to deal with it,” he asserted.
