Srinagar, Sep 22 : Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Monday directed the formation of a committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to streamline traffic movement in the city.
Chairing a meeting of the Multi-Disciplinary Committee for Srinagar, Garg asked the committee—which will include the SMC Commissioner, SSP Traffic Srinagar, and other stakeholder departments—to conduct a scientific survey to identify bottlenecks and suggest technology-driven solutions to ease congestion.
He stressed the need for practical recommendations within a set timeframe.
The meeting was attended by DC Srinagar Akshay Labroo, SMC Commissioner Fazlul Haseeb, VC LCMA, SSPs Traffic Srinagar and Rural, RTO Kashmir, RTC Manager, and officers from the Tourism, R&B, Housing & Urban Development, and Home departments.
