Srinagar, April 19 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said that those who profited from unrest and violence in Jammu and Kashmir — referred to as “conflict entrepreneurs” — will not be allowed to re-emerge.
While addressing a gathering in Srinagar, LG Sinha remarked that certain individuals had aligned themselves with hostile forces across the border over the past three decades, fueling militancy and spreading hatred to serve their own interests.
“Their actions have led to the loss of countless innocent lives,” he said, adding that these elements had turned the region’s conflict into a profitable venture, using common people as expendable tools.
He credited the relentless efforts of the security forces in recent years for significantly weakening militancy and dismantling such networks.
“Attempts are now being made by some of these individuals to resurface,” Sinha warned. “But I assure everyone, they will not be allowed to succeed. Their malicious intentions will be firmly dealt with.”
