Ganderbal, June 21:
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today inaugurated a newly constructed community hall at Duderhama in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. Built at a cost of ₹4.15 crore, the facility is designed to provide a dignified and affordable space for weddings, social functions, and other community gatherings.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Chief Minister highlighted the significance of the project in enhancing public infrastructure and supporting local communities. “This community hall will serve as an inclusive space that meets the long-standing needs of the people of Ganderbal. It reflects the government’s commitment to improving civic amenities and promoting social welfare,” he said.
Officials present at the event informed that the hall is equipped with modern amenities and has been constructed keeping in mind the cultural and functional requirements of the local population.
Residents and community leaders welcomed the initiative, terming it a much-needed addition to the town’s infrastructure. Many expressed appreciation for the government’s focus on grassroots development and community-oriented projects.
The Chief Minister also interacted with locals on the sidelines of the event, assuring continued efforts to address public concerns and improve living standards across the region.
