New Delhi, May 30 — In a significant move to bolster strategic cooperation, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan held a meeting with General Yoshida Yoshihide, Chief of Staff, Joint Staff of the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF). The interaction aimed at reinforcing bilateral defence ties and deepening mutual understanding between India and Japan.

The high-level engagement reflects the growing collaboration between the two Indo-Pacific powers amid shared regional security concerns and a commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region. Both sides discussed avenues to enhance military cooperation, exchange best practices, and explore opportunities for joint training and exercises.
