SRINAGAR: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday strongly condemned the blast at Delhi’s Red Fort and expressed deep sorrow over the accidental explosion reported in Nowgam area of Srinagar.

Addressing a press conference, Bukhari said those responsible for the Red Fort attack must be brought to justice through a transparent and stringent investigation. At the same time, he urged authorities to ensure that no innocent individual is subjected to harassment in the name of the probe.

Speaking about the Nowgam incident, where an accidental explosion resulted in injuries, Bukhari extended sympathy to the affected families and called for a thorough inquiry to prevent such incidents in the future.

The Apni Party chief stressed that the government must focus on addressing the roots of radicalisation in Jammu and Kashmir and work towards rebuilding public trust. “Dialogue with the people of Jammu and Kashmir is essential. Only through meaningful engagement can lasting peace and stability be achieved,” he said.

Bukhari reiterated his party’s commitment to safeguarding the rights and dignity of the people while urging the administration to adopt a humane approach in all security-related matters.
