SRINAGAR, Apr 24: A crucial all-party meeting is underway at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar, convened by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam that left 26 people dead and many injured.
The Chief Minister reached the SKICC earlier today to lead discussions with political stakeholders on the tragic incident. The gathering aims to assess the situation on the ground and explore unified measures to tackle the growing security concerns in the region.
Increased security arrangements have been put in place in and around the conference venue to ensure the safety of the participants.
Prominent leaders attending the meeting include National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, BJP’s J&K unit chief and Leader of the Opposition Sunil Sharma, CPI(M)’s M.Y. Tarigami, JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, Apni Party’s Sajad Lone, AIP representatives, Minister Sakina Itoo, and other senior political figures.
