Jammu, Sept 4: Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma, accompanied by Bahu Constituency MLA Vikram Randhawa, visited the flood-affected localities of Bahu Fort, Gorkha Nagar, and Kalika Colony to assess the situation on ground and interact with the residents hit by recent flooding.

During the visit, Sharma and Randhawa took stock of the damages to houses, roads, and essential infrastructure.

They also listened to the grievances of affected families, many of whom highlighted the urgent need for relief, rehabilitation measures, and restoration of basic amenities.Sharma assured the residents that their concerns had been duly noted and that “every possible step will be taken to provide timely assistance and ensure their safety and well-being.” He emphasized that the administration will be pressed to expedite relief measures and focus on long-term infrastructure resilience to minimize the impact of such disasters in the future.
