Govt Orders Clearance of Flood, Landslide Debris from Farmlands

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Directorate of Geology and Mining has directed District Mineral Officers to clear silt, sand, and debris deposited on agricultural lands after recent floods and landslides.An official circular said the disaster left vast stretches of farmland covered with river-borne material. The DMOs have been asked to act under Rule 107 of the JK Minor Mineral Concession and Mining Rules, 2016, to facilitate the clearance.
